Tom Tancin started writing when he was 13 years old after being challenged by his 7th
grade English teacher.  Encouraged by his 10th grade English teacher to continue writing and
to  publish the novels, the challenge never ended.
At 24 years of age, he is the author of seven novels and is currently hard at work on number
eight.  His novels have been read by people across the United States, Canada, England, and
Australia.  Quotes about Tom include "fulfilled his destiny as a talented author", "one of the
best new writers on the market", "don't stop what you are doing because you do it so well", and
"talented".
Tancin's most popular work is a series of novels that follow Detective Lindsey Scott, the
solver of the unsolvable, as she puts killers behind bars.  The first novel in the series,
The Man
in the Moon
, was released in late 2007 and received wonderful reviews.  The Reader Views
review of the novel was featured in
USA Today.  The novel was also nominated, and the runner
up, for 2008 Allbooks Reviews Editor's Choice Award in Fiction.  The follow up,
Watched, will be
released in late 2008.
But even before his work as a thrillstery author, Tom Tancin wrote five science-fiction
novels.  In 2006,
Perfection hit the market with great reviews.  Tancin conducted a radio
interview with Artists First Worldwide Radio Network discussing the messages in the novel.
Perfection was then pulled from the market and is set to be re-released with a new format and
another edit in June 2008.
    The four part
Time Warriors series was the start of Tom's writing journey.  After a challenge
from their 7th grade English teacher, Tom and his friend Chris Wolf set out to write a time travel
series for young adults like themselves (they were 13 at the time).  The story follows four
friends as they become the Time Warriors, a group responsible for protecting time travel.  The
problems increase as the series goes on and the struggles of the characters teach the
importance of friendship and trust.
Time Warriors: Part One was first released in August 2005.
Time Warriors: Part Two followed in February 2006 and Time Warriors: Part Three was
released in October 2006.
Time Warriors: Part Four was never released because the first
three novels were pulled from the market in early 2007.  The series is undergoing some editing
and formatting, receiving new cover art, and will be set for re-release in the summer of 2009.
The series is popular with middle school and early high school students and the release is
highly anticipated by Tom's 7th grade students.
