Words From Across the World

My name is Sofia Sanchez. I am from Nicaragua. I am
licensed in Art and Literature. I studied journalism.. I lived
through several years in USA. Now I live in Sweden. I went
out of Nicaragua when I was 16 years old. I have worked as
teacher of Spanish in the United States and Sweden. I have
worked also as journalist, cultural worker and as cooperating
in Nicaragua. I have supported juvenile movements and
women in Nicaragua and the United States. I have done
exhibitions on the culture and the Nicaraguan politics in
Sweden and USA. From the age of 15 years I have liked
working with the culture and I like writing poetry. My poetry is
been published in the anthology: Antologia Talleres de
Poesía, Ministerio de Cultura, Nicaragua, Antology Fogata
en la Oscurana and in the books Nicaragua in
Reconstruction: The People Speak of Marc Zimmerman and
the magazine Nyheter från Nicaragua.
I´m working now with a material for an antology of my poetry
in spanish and english. My poetry antology will perhaps be
called "Poetry of love and freedom".
